Errrr. So, so frustrated. I have not even gotten to training and I am having foot pain in my problem right foot. I fractured it over a year and a half ago from kick boxing. Seems from the xrays that it healed leaving behind an arthritic bone spur in my foot. Ever since then I keep having pain that seems to flair up when I do any type of high impact activities. I have tried orthodics and they seemed to help in the beginning. But right now the bone spur isnt even related to what's causing the pain I am having. My podiatrist thinks its a problem I am having with the surrounding tissue in my foot. I couldnt even get through a full Yoga class last week! That was upsetting.
I got a shot of Cortisone to my foot this past Friday. No more running, no more kickboxing, no jump roping. Its hard to sit still and just try to rest my foot all the time. But that is what I will be focusing on. Ice, elevate, and stay off my foot as much as I can. I am taking 2 weeks off from yoga and the gym. Hopefully during that time my foot will heal a bit. Really working against time here since training is in about a month. I am nervous to get to training and already have issues with my foot. Or to not be able to work as hard as I would like.
This past wknd was the start of my double sessions of yoga. Well, what was suppose to be. At least once a week go to two classes a day to get accustomed to how intense it will be at training. Right now I am just hoping to get back into a regular routine of yoga starting in 2 weeks so I am prepared somewhat for Training. Trying to stay positive during this set back. I am using the time to study the postures and dialougue. I miss the Yoga heat!!
