"Live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering!" – Fanny Crosby
All is well so far here!
They are giving this week to us to adjust. I mean its a lot of info and change to take in so the schedule has been kind of lease when things happen. First class last night with 315 people in the room. Sooooo nuts. It was super tight and they said by the end we will be sharing each others sweat. Yummy. Will take pics maybe at tonights classes. Bikram is already standing on peoples backs in certain floor postures to get their head to the ground. Um yeah I have not volunteered yet for that. Ha. I'll be sure to bring a camera if I decide to try that out. K gonna have a naner before class this morning.
We actually got to the beach yesterday for a good 10 mins. Haha. We were on a 45 min break and walked over. 5 min walk from the hotel. We will not be so tan as everyone may think. Will leave that for the wknds. Doesnt feel like I am in Hawaii so much during the day bcs we are indoors going from lecture to yoga class, yada, yada. If not for the tourist and vacationers in the hotel I might forget I was in Hawaii. Hehe. K its still amazingggg to be in this environment for a 2 month yoga training but its not all sand and beach. Naner and class now.
First posture clinic is later today. They gave us a break last night and we got out at 8pm! Bikram really doesnt seem as stern as everyone made him out to be. I like his humor-so far and his wife Rajashree is the sweetest woman. She is teaching this mornings class. Yum just had my first hawaiin banana. Tasty. The heat in last nights class wasn't super intense at all. If its like that the whole training I think I am set. It did get humid towards the end of the standing series into the floor, some mirrors fogged up. Seems like they are tweaking things out still since this is their first time with training in Hawaii. Still getting the speaker system down, some words tweak in and out during lectures and class. The guys in yoga wear some pretty skimpy shorts. Well everyone does but its funny to see how small mens shorts can go. Ha.
Food here is super expensive. Um yeah I knew that duh. A bag of carrots though is only 99cents! I will be living on rice and carrots most def. cheapest eats here. Their is a Hawaiin diner on the corner here. I thought only NJ had diners. Ha. Its 24hrs so I will def stop by there when we have lots of late night studying to do. Also theirs a Starbucks, Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, etc. nearby. Yeesh so modernized with the chains everywhere.
K again I should be studying my dialogue so I can get ahead. I only know todays one posture so ummm tonight I will be up studyinggg. Cant wait for the wknd to actually get on the beach and maybe explore the island a little, of course with my dialouge in hand :) Later! *sarah
