Yae! Its Fridayyyyy. Just finished up with morning class. Love the morning energy it gives me!! My throat has been getting weird nights and mornings. Dunno if its allergies or something. As long as I have energy and dont start feeling worn down I'm happy. After class it always feels better. Its beautiful out here today! So anxious to get to the beach tommorrow after class is over! Yup, don't know if I mentioned it but we ARE having Saturday morning classes. Boo so much for full wknds off. On the positive side maybe we will be less soar come Monday since we only have one day off a week. Ha.
Yesterday I gave my very first dialogue in front of Bikram and 315 other yogis with mic in hand. Ahh!! I had the posture down like a pat of butter but once I got up there my damn nerves took over. Hearing my voice over a mic freaked me out. I blanked on parts of the posture here and there and my voice could've been stronger and more powerful, full of energy. I was proud of myself for not waiting till the very last number of people to go, but frustrated I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I guess the doubles and exhaustion also got to me after that bcs later in the day I was all down on myself. Once evening class hit I tried to sweat it out of my body :) Ha. Craig taught us, tough cookie, and he said something that I instantly took to heart and let go of my frustrations. Learn from your mistakes and carry on. Something so easy as that. I know it was my first dialogue and I was bound to be nervous. Sometimes you just need to hear a simple statement like that to realize its not a big deal and I will learn from it and only do better next dialogue. I have 25 more postures to practice with so I have plenty of time! Here is a link to some photos and short video of dialogue class. http://www1.snapfish.com/share/p=1009191177048327530/l=262798932/g=4168081/otsc=SYE/otsi=SALB
Bikram is such a character. He has travelled all over the world and back and right and left and right and left and stop and come up in the middle :) His comments are so spontaneous and different for each person that goes up to give their dialogue. I am really enjoying learning from him and all the instructors. Other times I just roll my eyes at his comments. Ha.
I tried for a couple days to meet with Rajashree about my foot that I had problems with but she was always either in with someone or not available. Errr. She left last night to go back to LA. I wanted to let them know about my foot in case it flares up down the road. Right now it feels GREAT! The classes actually are completely making it feel better. Once in a while it'll ache in a posture but I try to press through and just be aware. I ice it in btwn classes, during lectures and wear my ankle wrap too. Jess is great at reminding me to keep up with that. So happy I dont have to deal with the foot problem I had a month ago! Really Bikram Yoga cures every body ailment!
I cant belive how much I sweat in these classes. I know I am dehydrated bcs I pee and nothing comes out. Like u wanted to hear that. But this is just the beginning of all the weird body things that will go on. I drink water and tea all the time btwn classes and during clinic. I feel like its impossible to keep up with how much we sweat out in 2 classes a day. I love water too but its tiring drinking it every second of the day to keep fluids in the body :)
K adios thats all from me today! *Sarah
