Hello! This week is nuts! One of the hardest for me by far. I am having trouble with my dialogue. the memorizing part I am fine with but when I get up to deliver the posture I blank out in huge chunks here or there. The first posture I gave with a shaky voice but was able too remember it all. Now my voice no longer shakes - yae, but the nervousness comes out by blanking my head. Aye! I am trying to find the best memorizing tactic that works for me. Everyone here is going through similar issues. We are memorizing and flying through the dialogue so quickly you dont have much time to get it in your head and deliver it strongly. Need to find the trick quickly. Once I memorize the dialogue I plan to practice in front of people. Hoping that smooths things out. I feel like right now I am working on getting the words out but connecting them to the bodies in front of me.
Posture clinic has been non stop this week for many hrs each day. Night time after 11pm is our only change to memorize the next posture. The lobby of the hotel is filled with yogis late night chanting and reciting postures. I studied downstairs last night. A little hard to focus but I did some of the Round Robbin memorization and thats a good tool too.
Elevators here are super slow and wacky. Sometimes while we're waiting for an eleveator we can here is just go completely by the floor. One of the elevators stops literally on every floor. We are on the 17th floor. We left our room yesterday a couple minutes later than normal. A yup got to the yoga room 2 minutes too late for the damn sign in. When you miss sign in your required to do an additional yoga class. Like we arent doing enough yoga!!! Makeups are at 6am 3 days a week or Sunday at 10am. I am gonna do this Sundays 10am class. I figure that way my body wont be so sore come Monday. So much for my day off! Learned my lesson. Will leave our room a half hr early now.
Shoulder rash went away. Yae! I felt some light twingy pain in it though at class this morning. Hmm. Cant figure out what I am doing to irritate it. Icing it right now and just gonna try to focus on my form more for each posture.
Been feeling nauseaus and no appetite this week. Trying to eat a little btwn classes still so I don't lose all my energy or get sick. The electrolytes pills, Emergen C, and Gatorade are def helping me! Oh and that thing called water too.
Super tired and have been counting down the days till this wknd! Cant wait to sleeeeeppp and catch up on memorizing some dialogue so I'm not at the tail end in classes delivering the postures. I hope I break through this brain freeze I have been having. So frustrating that I keep screwing up in the Posture Clinic. Better I get it all out here and now though so I rock when I am teaching classes at home! * Sarah
